Terms & Conditions

§ 1. Definitions

• Portal — this website, through which we provide our services for the Slovak e-vignette.
• Services — our paid intermediary and technical support services: a simplified, multilingual registration interface; data verification before submission; submission of your registration to NDS's official system on your behalf; forwarding NDS's confirmation to you; and customer support.
• Government Fee — the official Slovak e-vignette fee charged by NDS for the vehicle category and validity period you choose, paid in your name with no markup by us. Its amount is shown in the price list on the Portal and in the order summary before payment.
• Processing Fee — our own remuneration for the Services, shown separately from the Government Fee before payment. It is not a markup on the Government Fee and does not form part of the official toll charge.
• Agreement — the agreement for the provision of Services concluded between us and you through the Portal.
• User / Consumer — a natural person who places an order through the Portal; a Consumer is a User acting outside their trade, business, or profession.
• Digital Vignette — the electronic registration of a vehicle's licence plate in NDS's official toll system, granting the right to use the designated sections of Slovak motorways and expressways for the vignette's validity period.
• Price — the total amount payable, comprising the Government Fee, the Processing Fee and, if you select it, the fee for optional Express processing, each shown separately in the price list on the Portal and in the order summary before payment.

§ 2. Nature of Services and Conclusion of the Agreement

1. We provide paid intermediary and technical services to help you complete registration of a Slovak e-vignette in NDS's official system. We do not sell or resell digital vignettes — the vignette is acquired directly from NDS by you; we act on your authorisation to complete the registration on your behalf.
2. By placing an order, you grant us a power of attorney to act in your name for the purpose of registering the digital vignette with NDS, including submitting the application, paying the Government Fee, collecting confirmation, and — where NDS's rules permit — requesting amendments or cancellations. This power of attorney is granted electronically by completing the order form, ticking the mandatory consent checkboxes, and making payment.
3. The Slovak e-vignette is required for using the designated sections of Slovak motorways and expressways with vehicles of up to 3.5 t (and with passenger cars of category M1 regardless of weight); motorcycles do not need one. Through the Portal you can order it for a car (vehicle up to 3.5 t / M1) or for a trailer — a trailer needs its own vignette only when the total maximum permissible weight of the combination exceeds 3.5 t — for one of four periods: 1 day, 10 days, 30 days or 1 year (NDS's 365-day vignette). The start date you select is the first day of validity, and the vignette is valid until 23:59 on its last day: the 1-day vignette on the chosen calendar day only, the 10-day vignette on the start day and the following 9 days, the 30-day vignette on the start day and the following 29 days, and the annual vignette for 365 days including the start day. Validity is not tied to the calendar year. A vignette that starts on the day of your order is valid only once it has been registered — never retroactively. Standard processing takes up to 12 hours; optional Express processing takes from 1 minute to 2 hours.
4. You enter into the Agreement by completing the order form and paying the total price via Stripe. Payment is considered made once the transfer is confirmed. We send you a confirmation of the Agreement and its terms by e-mail on conclusion.
5. You must provide complete, accurate, current, and error-free data, in particular the licence plate number and country of registration. You remain responsible for the accuracy of this data; incorrect data may result in an invalid or ineffective registration.
6. Once NDS confirms your vehicle's registration, we forward that confirmation to you by e-mail. It constitutes official proof of a valid vignette.
7. In matters not covered by these Terms, NDS's own rules govern the validity, use, and rights associated with the digital vignette; in the event of any conflict on such matters, NDS's rules prevail.
8. Users who are not consumers are not entitled to withdraw from the Agreement.

§ 3. Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Withdrawal and refunds are governed by our dedicated Refund & Withdrawal Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: the 14-day right of withdrawal applies only to our Processing Fee, and is lost once we have fully performed the service with your prior, informed consent. The Government Fee is refundable only under NDS's own rules, and generally not at all once the vignette's validity has started.

§ 4. Our Liability

1. We are responsible for the operation of the Portal and for the proper performance of the Services we provide.
2. We are not liable for: consequences of you providing incorrect, outdated, or incomplete data (in particular an incorrect licence plate number); damages from disruptions or unavailability of NDS's own systems caused by factors beyond our control; consequences of decisions, rules, or system changes introduced by NDS; or delays attributable to NDS's systems.
3. We are liable for the lack of conformity of our Services with the Agreement, existing at the time of delivery and apparent within two years of that time, in accordance with the Polish Civil Code and the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services.
4. Where we have fully performed the Service with your explicit prior consent to immediate performance, and you have acknowledged the resulting loss of the right of withdrawal, any payment dispute or chargeback you initiate shall be considered unfounded; we reserve the right to submit evidence of performance (including your consent log, NDS's confirmation, and the order record) to your bank or payment provider, and to pursue recovery of any resulting costs.

§ 5. Personal Data

How we process your personal data is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

§ 6. Cookies

Our use of cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.

§ 7. Invoices

1. At your request, we issue an invoice for the Services provided and send it to the e-mail address you provided.
2. You consent to us issuing electronic invoices pursuant to Art. 106n(1) of the Polish Act of 11 March 2004 on Value Added Tax.

§ 8. Complaints

1. You may submit complaints regarding our Services by e-mail to support@vignetteexpress.com.
2. We will consider your complaint within 14 days of receipt (30 days for non-consumer Users) and respond to the contact address you provided.

§ 9. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms where required by changes in applicable law, to introduce new services, to limit the scope of existing services, or to improve the operation or security of the Portal. Updated Terms are published on the Portal and, where possible, notified by e-mail, taking effect no earlier than 14 days from publication unless a shorter notice period is required by law.

§ 10. Final Provisions

1. All relations arising from the Agreement are governed by Polish law. The Service is performed from our registered office in Katowice, Poland; the fact that the vignette concerns Slovak roads does not mean the Service is performed in Slovakia.
2. For disputes with consumers habitually resident in the EU, jurisdiction is determined under Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis); you may bring proceedings before the courts of Poland or of your own country of habitual residence. The choice of Polish law does not deprive you of protections under the mandatory law of your own country, per Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).
3. EU consumer disputes about online services may also be resolved through the European Commission's ODR platform.
4. In matters not covered by these Terms, the Polish Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights, the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services, and the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 apply.
